THE EXPERIENCE
A simply magical space, Matisse 167’s colorful impressionist-style paintings and chandeliers create a playful, inviting atmosphere of simple elegance. Chef Greg Power’s creative New American fare brings together unexpected flavor combinations that pique the senses as one delves into each of his masterfully crafted dishes.
Matisse 167’s artful cuisine, creative menu and top-notch service staff effortlessly combine to provide a culinary experience on par with the finest restaurants in the country.
Step into a Winter Wonderland
Our beautifully lit, heated igloo is a new addition at Matisse and truly a feast for all the senses.
Nestled under twinkling lights in our garden glowing with holiday magic, it’s a private space warmed by an electric fireplace and luxurious fur throws, romantic candlelight, and a stunning chandelier.
The Igloo Experience seats 2-6 guests for our four-course prix-fixe menu for $150 per person. Seating is limited and reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at 201-935-2995 or through OpenTable.
PRIX-FIXE MENU
A “BYOB” restaurant, Matisse 167 offers an inventive Prix-Fixe Menu frequently updated by Chef Greg to showcase the finest quality local and seasonal ingredients.
Each dish on our menu is personally and meticulously prepared by Chef Greg for our guests.
CHEF GREG POWER
Chef Greg Power brings to Matisse 167 more than fifteen years of experience earned working alongside several of the country’s most renowned celebrity chefs at some of the most celebrated restaurants in New York City including David Burke at David Burke Prime and Geoffrey Zakarian at The National. He further honed his culinary prowess at Manhattan’s The Capital Grille, Harry’s Café and Steakhouse and Pier A Harbor House.
He began his culinary journey at Edward’s Steakhouse in Jersey City, and once stole the show as a contestant on the reality TV show, “Chopped.”
Chef Greg assumed ownership of Matisse 167 in June 2024 from its founder, Peter Loria, promising to keep Chef Peter’s thirty-seven-year legacy alive by ensuring its legendary tasting menu is as fresh, artistic, inventive, and delicious as ever.
